I am a user experience architect with a master’s in library science and a particular passion for information retrieval and findability. Before moving into the world of IA, I was a children’s book editor and then a Web copywriter, and I bring that background to the projects that I work on. My day-to-day work, like that of many other IAs, encompasses everything from user research to interaction design to taxonomy and content strategy; whatever the label or the discipline, my aim is always to create a great experience for the customer without compromising business goals.

Aside: What’s a Lynxpoint?
Depending on who you ask, a lynxpoint is either a type of Siamese cat that has stripes or the name of a Siamese-type breed called a colorpoint shorthair. Either way, they’re beautiful, and their name makes a convenient pun with “links,” which seems appropriate for a designer who likes to make connections to information easier to find. Currently, one lynxpoint lives in my house; I hope at least one always will.
