You’re saying it’s hot, right? I’ve lived in Phoenix my whole life, so sometimes it’s hard to tell. We’re at 87 degrees. Just after midnight. And I think it’s kind of nice. It may even cool off enough for me to leave the house sometime within the next month or two.
(and I dislike the American League, by the way. But, if I remember correctly, you are/were a Suns fan, so I’ll keep my mouth shut while you talk about the NL West. They’re pretty hard to defend anyway.)
Heh, that puts things in perspective, Stephanie. I should remind myself that 80 degrees in October would be comfortable in some parts of the world. Autumn was the thing I missed most when I lived in Austin, though—September is sometimes hotter than August there, and that just seemed so wrong to me. I’m still a Northeasterner, by inclination if not by geography, and September is supposed to be when the sweaters get taken out of the closet.
I am indeed a Suns fan—even more so this upcoming season, with Amare coming back. I love that guy. And for whatever it’s worth, the Diamondbacks are the only team in the NL West that I like okay. I don’t know why I like them, given what they did to my beloved Yankees a few years ago, but I do. They’re just not hateable.
